The administration has completed the long-delayed State Secretariat in Gwadangaji, reconstructed the Koko–Zuru–Mahuta–Dabai Road (87km), dualised major arteries in Birnin Kebbi including the Amburesa road, and built new dual carriageways in Argungu. Capital spending in 2024 alone reached nearly ₦79 billion.

Promised to deepen Kebbi's agricultural identity through structured support for farmers via the Kaura Agricultural Development and Growth Agenda (KADAGE).

Through KADAGE, thousands of farmers received fertilisers, improved seedlings, solar-powered irrigation pumps, and small farm machinery. The state distributed over 36,000 water pumps, 3,000 power tillers, and 10,000 liters of agrochemicals in early 2025, and signed a cross-border trade protocol with Benin Republic.

Promised to prioritise the education sector, leveraging his background as former NUT national president to improve teachers' conditions and school infrastructure.

The administration has embarked on school renovations, construction of new mega schools, teacher training programmes, and recruitment of new teachers. The governor also inaugurated a committee to investigate salary payments and implementation of the new minimum wage for primary school teachers.

Promised to overhaul existing health facilities and expand access to healthcare across the state.

Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital in Birnin Kebbi is undergoing extensive remodelling, with departments temporarily relocated. Argungu General Hospital has been rehabilitated and recommissioned. Smaller health centres across local councils have seen improvements, but the main hospital remodelling caused short-term service disruption.

Promised to make regular salary payments and settlement of gratuities cornerstones of his administration, leveraging his labour movement background.

Several tranches of death benefits to families of deceased workers have been disbursed publicly. The administration has maintained regular salary payments for civil servants and pensioners, reinforcing his labour credentials.

Promised to fulfil the majority of campaign promises within his first three years in office.

The Managing Director of People's Daily Newspaper declared that Governor Idris had fulfilled about 90% of his campaign promises within three years. However, this assessment came from a courtesy visit by the governor's media aides, raising questions about independent verification of the specific claim.

Promised to boost IGR to reduce dependence on federal allocations.

The state launched digital reforms including a unified electronic tax system and the Kebbi Geographic Information Service (KEBGIS) targeting N1 billion in IGR for 2025. The Ministry of Solid Minerals is also generating revenue from mining licences. However, IGR remains low relative to the state's economic activity, with domestic debt to IGR solvency ratio flagged as a concern.

Promised to fight insecurity in the state through support for security agencies.

The governor has provided support to security agencies, facilitated deployment of armoured vehicles, and secured aerial support from the Nigerian Air Force. However, the state continues to face security challenges, including allegations of political thuggery and imported mercenaries that the government has denied.
