Promised to recover state properties and funds allegedly misappropriated under predecessor Rochas Okorocha, setting this as a first-100-days priority.

Assessment

Within his first 100 days Ihedioha set up a Judicial Commission of Enquiry into assets alleged to have been misappropriated under Rochas Okorocha; it recovered about ₦1.2 billion and properties including the Royal Palm Estate in Owerri, and reported ₦112.8 billion in questionable bank debts owed the state. The Supreme Court removed him from office on 15 January 2020, less than eight months in, and the recovery effort was suspended.
