In December 2025, Governor Radda alleged that opposition figures, including Dr. Mustapha Inuwa (ADC leader and former PDP secretary) and former Senator Ahmed Babba Kaita, were working against the return of peace in Katsina to proclaim the APC-led administration as a failure. He described them as 'celebrants of killings and abductions' who sought to capitalise on violence for political gain ahead of 2027.
Outcome / Status
The opposition dismissed the governor's remarks as a 2027 campaign strategy. Dr. Inuwa had previously criticised the governor's 'revolving security measures' as ineffective. The state government published a rebuttal titled 'Setting the Record Straight on Governor Radda's Remarks,' accusing critics of deliberate distortion. No legal action was initiated by either side.
Administration's response
Governor Radda stated: 'Some individuals are averse to witnessing the return of peace in Katsina, as they seek to proclaim the APC as a failed government; however, the APC-led government has come to stay.' The government characterised the criticism as politically motivated blackmail.
