Reports alleged Ugwuanyi directed his Chief of Staff to coordinate the diversion of ₦5.1 billion in local government special funds shortly before leaving office, and that intervention-fund cheques were channelled through a newly established state medical university's bank account in a manner suspected of serving as a diversion conduit.
Outcome / Status
